FAYETTEVILLE, Ark--The Razorbacks started their work for Saturday's LSU game indoors even though the outdoor practice fields were dry and the temperatures mild.

High winds were the culprit with head coach Bobby Petrino deciding he wanted calmer conditions for the Hogs to work on a passing game that has carried them to a 7-4 record so far this season.

Offensive coordinator Paul Petrino said the indoor practice went well.

"We had a good practice today and came out there with a lot of energy," Petrino told reporters. "I think the players are going to be real excited about the game. You could feel the excitement and energy and they were flying around. We have to keep improving our execution the next two days and we are excited to get down there and have a great game."

Arkansas will be playing it's first road game in over a month with a Cotton Bowl bid possibly riding on the outcome. Night games at LSU are notoriously difficult for the Tiger's opponents but Paul Petrino says he thinks the Razorbacks will be ready.

"I stood up here about four weeks ago and said we have the next four games at home and hopefully we can really start playing," Petrino recalled. "We are young and we play better at home. We've done that and I think we've grown up now. That's something we've talked about in order to get to the next level the young guys have to go play good on the road. I think we will do that."

With word filtering out of Baton Rouge that LSU plans to try to slow down the Hogs' nationally ranked passing game Petrino said he looks for a good effort out of the Hogs running backs. Last year freshman Dennis Johnson had a huge game against the Tigers in the Hogs win in Little Rock.

"I think it gives him a lot of confidence," Petrino said of Johnson's game a year ago. "Dennis played well against them last year and they had a hard time tackling him. I think he goes in there with a lot of confidence. It is a different defensive coordinator, but it is mostly the same players so he goes in there with a lot of confidence."
