Several media outlets are reporting that USC transfer running back Broderick Green will be cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse soon to play for the Hogs next season.
In response to the report, the Arkansas Athletic Department released this statement today. "The University of Arkansas has received no official or unofficial news on the status of the eligibility waiver filed on behalf of football student-athlete Broderick Green. The University of Arkansas has also not been given a timeline for such a decision."
Green played high school football at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock before committing and playing at USC. He transferred to Arkansas, where he seeked a waiver of transfer rules, based on being closer to a sick relative at Arkansas. If he is cleared, he won't have to sit out for a transfer season.
Green is a former Parade All-American, how had 32 carries last year at USC, for 168 yards and 3 touchdowns.
