TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Oral Roberts freshman Hunter McClintock will have surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right knee and miss the upcoming basketball season.

Coach Scott Sutton said Sunday that McClintock was hurt when he stepped on a teammate's foot during a drill on Friday. The 6-foot-2 guard from North Carolina is expected to have surgery in the next few weeks and miss up to six months.

The Golden Eagles, who were picked to finish second in the Summit League, open the regular season Friday at Wake Forest.
