OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma State waited for weeks for starting tailback Kendall Hunter to return from an injury. Even when he got back, Keith Toston still found a way to upstage him.
Toston had the most productive day of his career Saturday, rushing for 203 yards and three touchdowns, and the 17th-ranked Cowboys (7-2, 4-1) vaulted into the Big 12 rushing lead with an all-around effort against Iowa State.
Oklahoma State entered the weekend with the fourth-best rushing average in the conference, but came through with a season-high 331 yards while holding the Cyclones to a season-low 54 yards on the ground.
The Cowboys have won the conference's rushing title the past three seasons.
