TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) — Miller County authorities investigating a deadly nightclub shooting near Texarkana say witnesses apparently are scared to come forward.
Twenty-four-year-old Shakiya Moore was killed in the shooting about 2 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Mr. D's nightclub.
Miller County Chief Deputy Mike Mauldin says there were several witnesses but no one has had the courage to talk to detectives about what they saw. Mauldin says a suspect has been identified but no one has been arrested.
Investigators say workers at the club said a fight broke out inside the nightclub and the participants were asked to leave and Moore was shot when the group got into the parking lot.
