Arkansas Valley Electric workers are busy today trying to get one of their substations back on-line.
Many residents in Crawford County were temporarily without electricity overnight after an explosion and fire at that substation.
Arkansas Valley Electric says the problem developed around 9:30 Monday night. At the peak of the outage 1,600 customers around Alma and Mulberry were in the dark.
Arkansas Valley Spokesman Greg Davis says service to those customers was restored by 11 last night when workers re-routed power to them.
