A Bentonville man is in jail for felony child pornography charges. Police arrested 32-year-old Westley Mac Ruiz today after the Federal Bureau of Investigation provided information that suggested someone in the city was distributing child porn.
The FBI believe Ruiz was distributing child porn through a peer to peer networking internet site, according to Bentonville police. During the investigation, a search warrant was served at Ruiz's home and authorities seized computer equipment, digital cameras, photographs, magazines, CDs and DVDs.
Ruiz is being held at the Benton County Jail. He's awaiting a bond and probable cause hearing for the offense of Distributing, Possessing, or Viewing Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child.
