Parents of Slain Wister Woman Visit Site Where Body Was Found
POTEAU/HEAVENER - The parents of a slain wister woman are defending their daughter and dispelling rumors, all while trying to keep the public focused on finding her killer. 5NEWS sat down with Jim and Stacey Rilee to talk about the latest in Jodi's case.

Tuesday Jim and Stacey Rilee drove to Poteau Mountain where their duaghter Jodi's body was found. Agent's with the Oklahoma State Bureaa of Investigation and the Leflore County undersheriff took them to the site and briefed them on the investigation.

"If the same paraglider went up today and knew where the body was he would not be able to see it," Jim Rilee explained. "He would not know this body was not meant to be found it was just by the grace of God that she was found."

Jodi's body was discovered May 9th on private property about a half mile or so up a gated road on Poteau Mountain. Although the wait is frustrating, the Rilees believe investigators are doing everything they can.

"Having spoke to them we understand that they are trying to do a lot," Mr. Rilee said. "There are several things that take some time."

The couple is certain that a friend or acquaintance of Jodi's knows something; even if it seems insignificant.

"We know where she was," her mother Stacey said. "We just don't know the why. We don't know the circumstance. Maybe that would give us closure, maybe it would be opening an old wound. We don't know." "But we know it has to get done," her husband added.

One of their fears is that recent rumors will hinder the investigation.

"We knew our daughter very well and how she networked with her friends and we did speak to her regularly," Jim Rilee said in defense of his daughter.

Their daughter left one of her own behind--the light in Jim and Stacey Rilee's lives. Annabelle is too young to understand, but her grandparents say they will make sure she knows her momma loved her very much.

"People say are you having a good day or a bad day? There are no good days. There's good moments," Mr. Rilee

Jodi Rilee-Wilson's body was not wrapped in trash bags as has been reported. Her parents believe whoever hid her body knows the area well. The Rilees want people to remember their daughter as a loving young woman with a world class smile. They say she was very family oriented. Baby Annabelle is being raised by her father and his family.
