Arrest Made in Bentonville Missing Women Case
Bentonville police have arrested a man in the case of two women who have been missing since June. The man has ties to the women.

Christina Bishop, 40, and her mother Louise, 81, were last seen in a Bentonville Sam's Club store June 18.

18-year-year old Nicholas Johansen was arrested in Garfield this morning. Johansen is the biological son of Christina Bishop.

Johansen is charged with hindering an apprehension or prosecution. Police say he gave inconsistent statements while being interviewed during the investigation. Johansen has been interviewed multiple times since the women were reported missing.

"It led investigators down false trails," said Bentonville Police Chief James Allen.

Louise Bishop's nephew, George Skupien, says he believes Johansen has more information he's not telling police. "We're just hoping Nicholas says something that can give us some closure, that would be great," said Skupien.

According to Skupien, Christina did not have an active relationship with Johansen. He was living in Garfield with his father.

"Christina gave up custody of the child when he was very small," said Skupien.

Police are not saying whether or not Johansen is a suspect in the actual disappearance of the women. Right now they are hoping people with information see Johansen's name in the media and come forward.

"We hope it gives us a break in the case that we desperately need," said Allen.

Skupien is offering a $25,000 reward for anyone who may have information on the case. You can call Bentonville Police at 479-271-3170 or e-mail reward@mail.com.
