Special Prosecutor Chosen to Review Rape Claim at UA
Today Special prosecutor H.G. Foster was chose to review the case of three Razorback athletes accused of rape in Fayetteville.

The University of Arkansas Basketball players were accused of raping a woman at a fraternity party in August. After an investigation, authorities declined to file charges. But they have agreed to allow someone else to review the case.

John Bass, attorney for the accuser, filed a petition last month to request special prosecutor for the case. And yesterday prosecutor John Threet followed through by filing a motion. Bob McMahan, the state's prosecutor coordinator, says he recommended Foster and that a Washington County judge had no objection.

Foster has experience as a special prosecutor. He helped review the 2007 police shooting of a 12-year-old West Memphis boy before determining the officer involved shouldn't face charges.
