FORT SMITH - Health officials in Arkansas want residents to arm themselves against the flu. That's why mass flu clinics will be held statewide on the 29th and 30th of this month.
Most will be drive-throughs, although some will be walk-ins. Only seasonal flu shots will be available initially, until more doses of the H1N1 vaccine can be made. The state does have some on hand, but that limited supply will go to children and teens at school flu clinics. Parents will have to give permission for their children to receive one or both vaccines. The state department of health says eventually, there will be enough H1N1 vaccine for everyone. You will need both to be protected from the different strains.
