Friends and Family Search for Missing Man
Friends and family are hoping against odds for good news about their friend, Joe Neff.

They have camped out at the bar Neff owned to conduct their own search for their loved one.

They've been there since word of his disappearance broke Thursday around noon.

And now they're relying on each other to get through.
"We hate that this has happened. We've just got hope in our hearts that something does happen, that we get some type of word. You know, we've all joined together as friends, but we're missing the main one. Ya know, if not for him, none of us come together," said Fred Harmon.

Harmon says he's known Neff since he was in diapers.

Harmon says Neff had become a father figure to him.
"He was a very close friend and someone I looked up to that I asked questions about life. Hey, Dad, what do I do here?"

Neff was discovered missing Thursday after an employee at his business found blood and signs of a struggle.

Police have been searching the ground, and they hope to begin searching bodies of water this weekend.

His friends are now just waiting to hear what has become of Joe Neff.
"He loved everyone. He never met a stranger he couldn't take in as family. He had a real big heart and a lot of love in that heart," said Harmon.
