Late Wednesday night a 5NEWS live truck went into the White River.
A 5NEWS crew was setting up for a live shot in South Fayetteville off Pump Station Road when the van rolled into the water. No one was hurt in the accident.
"We are thankful no one was hurt in the incident, but we will certainly suffer from loss of equipment," Van Comer, President and General Manager of KFSM said Thursday.
The truck was equipped with a satellite dish that allowed news crews to cover news live from any location. Along with the truck and live equipment, a news camera, camera batteries and lighting kits were damaged. Preliminary damage is estimated to be around $250,000.
