Rogers police say they found a body after a fire at a home. Here's a release from the department:
On Friday, July 03, 2009 at approximately 11:12 a.m., the Rogers Police and Fire Departments received a report of a house fire at 800 East Lilac Street. Fire officials found an adult female inside the residence. Officers are attempting to identify the victim and assist in the determination of the cause of the fire.
Origin and circumstances of the fire have not been determined. The investigators are still on-scene at this time. The Rogers Police Department is not releasing the name of the homeowner until a positive identification can be made and the family notifications are complete.
The follow-up investigation will be conducted by the Rogers Fire Department Investigators and the Rogers Police Department.
