One person is dead after a car accident in Bentonville today.
Witnesses say two cars hit head-on along Highway 72 near Pea Ridge, just after 12 p.m. A woman driving one of the vehicles was killed. The other driver was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.
Keith English lives near where the accident happened, and says the area is dangerous for both drivers and pedestrians.
"I've lived here for six months," English says. "I've seen wrecks up and down this ditch line. Nobody patrols it, no nothing."
Authorities have not released the names of the drivers.
