Rain Causes Problems on Streets and Yards
Thursday's rain storm caused problems throughout Northwest Arkansas, from streets to front yards.

At least two people had to be taken to the hospital in Prairie Grove after a head on collision on the Illinois Bridge around 8 p.m.

An SUV was traveling east on Highway 62, when the driver lost control, hydroplaned into oncoming traffic, and hit a compact car. There were a total of five people involved in the crash. The two who were taken to the hospital are believed to have non life-threatening injuries, according to Sgt. David Collins, of the Prairie Grove Police Department.

Traffic was backed up for about an hour before the bridge could open.

In Farmington, several front yards were flooded on North Hunter Street near Farmington Park. "I've lived here for many years and I've never seen it this bad," said John Sisemore. He suffered thousands of dollars worth of damage in his backyard has his fence got washed away.

Another neighbor had to be rescued from his truck as water started gushing in. The homes were so vulnerable due to a creek that runs along their backyards. One neighbor said the creek was about six inches deep that morning, and by 10 p.m. it was close to 11 feet.
