The "Made with Love" Baby Quilt drive is underway for the second year in a row. It's the mission of Christina Stengel, who gave birth to a baby weighing one pound nine ounces. The quilts are used as isolate covers in the neonatal intensive care unit to help shield these NICU babies who are especially light sensitive. These quilts also provide warmth and comfort to the family members who are staying with their baby. Stengel plans to donate the quilts to St. Edward Mercy Medical Center's NICU. The goal for this year's drive is 300 quilts, and are planned to be presented by Easter. If you are interested in helping with the drive, the specifications are: unisex color and theme, from a non-smoking home, and dimensions of 36"x48". Quilts are asked to be ready by April 11, 2009.
