Weather may have played a factor in a train derailment in Johnson County last night, according to a spokesperson with the Union Pacific Railroad.
The train derailed near Coal Hill, causing 20 cars carrying soybeans to roll over, spilling their load. Three locomotives were pulling a total of 100 cars. No one was hurt during the accident.
Crews are on the scene working to clear the tracks and clean up spill. Access to that area is tight for dump trucks and other contractors helping to shore up the rail line.
